NanoBond® cookware offers greater stick resistance than traditional stainless steel cookware, but it is important to note that NanoBond® is not a nonstick cookware range.
The most common cause of food sticking or burning is overheating the cookware. NanoBond® pans are highly responsive and conduct heat extremely efficiently, meaning they can reach cooking temperature quickly and often require lower heat settings than other cookware.
Food can also stick if excess moisture is present. For best results, pat proteins such as meat, poultry, and seafood dry before placing them into a preheated pan.
How can I prevent food from sticking?
For the best cooking performance, we recommend the following:
- Preheat the pan on medium heat for around one minute before adding oil or ingredients.
- Add a small amount of oil or butter and spread it evenly across the cooking surface.
- Allow the oil or butter to heat briefly before adding food.
- Let food naturally sear before attempting to move or turn it.
- Avoid overcrowding the pan, as excess moisture can prevent proper browning and food release.
- Use low to medium heat for most cooking tasks.
- Avoid overheating, which can cause food to stick and burn.
- Metal utensils can be used safely on the NanoBond® cooking surface.
- Allow the pan to cool before cleaning to help avoid thermal shock.
- Wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge, avoiding abrasive cleaning tools.
Does NanoBond® take time to get used to?
Yes. Because NanoBond® heats so efficiently, it may require a small adjustment to your usual cooking technique, particularly when it comes to heat control and preheating.
Most NanoBond® owners find that once they become familiar with using lower heat settings and allowing the cookware to preheat correctly, they achieve exceptional cooking results. As with any professional-grade cookware, the experience often improves the more it is used.
NanoBond® is designed to deliver outstanding performance, durability, and cooking precision, and understanding how it responds to heat will help you get the very best from your cookware.
